The College Building
The college has three separate and self-sufficient buildings for Arts, Commerce and Science faculties respectively on the three sides of the central college ground. Each building is provided with well illuminated, spacious class-rooms, teachers room and toilets. There are also separate administrative building, library and extension buildings inside the college campus.
Identity Card :
After admission a student is required to get an Identity card signed by the Principal of the college, containing information about the student concerned. This card is a proof of his/her status as a student of Chakdaha College. This may help students in many unwanted situations even outside college campus.
The Three Pillars
a) Teaching Faculty : Along with the substantive facilities there
is a large no. of eligible candidates according to norms laid down by
the UGC as part-time/guest teachers to meet the exigencies of academic
standard and adequacy of teaching hours. More than 70% of the teachers
are either Ph.D or M.Phil degree achievers. Majority of the teachers are
associated with research activities. They are also associated with
syllabus framing, module formation., examination works etc. As UG and PG

include text books and rare costly reference books and up-dated
College provides well-equipped laboratories for the different lab-based departments : Chemistry, Physics, Geography, Zoology, Mathematics, Botany, Statistics. Laboratory rooms are large enough for air circulation, proper illumination and students free movement. For all the subjects different laboratory rooms are used for different kinds of experiments. Some laboratories have computer facilities too. Besides routine classes, special practical classes are arranged for final practices, especially before the final university examinations. Laboratory attendants are always here to look after the needs of the students.
There are two NSS units. In unit one programme officer is Prof. Ajit Kr. Mondal & unit two programme officer is Prof. Susanta Ghosh. Almost every year our NSS volunteers get selected to participate in Pre-Republic Day camp and Republic Day held in Delhi. Ours NSS volunteers attended National Integration camps held in Ahmadabad and Hardwar. One National Integration camp has been organized by our NSS units Chakdaha College. Our two NSS units provides a cue to build up the co-operative attitude to serve the society.
The college office is fully computerized. The Accounts department is also computerized and take care of Students Fee Collection, Daily Accounts. Maintaining Cash Book etc. They are handled by the accounting package programme Tally (7.2). The college office is now well equipped to render smooth and efficient services to more than three thousand students. Any student may gets all his/her up-dated information by a click of the mouse button.
An academic calendar, stating dates of important academic events such as college examinations, final test, class tests, list of holidays are distributed to the students so that they can plan their future activities well in advance. Some departments split up the entire syllabus in different modules and inform the students accordingly.
The college has a large seminar hall with a 30+ seating capacity and equipped with all modern amenities. The seminar hall facilitates the students & teachers to hold seminars and other group activities without disruption of normal classes.
Grievance Redressal Cell
The college has a Grievance Redressal Cell to address the grievances and suggestions of the students, staff and guardians. Complaint and suggestion boxes are placed at strategic points for this purpose.

|Te college magazine is published annually by the students union with the help of the entrusted teacher. Some departments also publish wall magazines regularly.|
Other Class-Teaching Tools
|The college also provides various audio-visual aids like OHP, class-room amplifiers etc. to the faculties for presentations during classes, seminars, debates and other extra-curricular activities.|
Scholarship & Stipend
1. Teachers Council provides stipends t the poor and meritorious students.
2. The Govt. of India also awards a few scholarships to students belonging to SC, ST and OBC categories.
3. Nearly 10% of the students are given financial assistance from the students Aid Fund yearly. The selection is made on the basis of merit, financial status and class attendance.
4. Students union also helps students in financial distress.
5. For the eleventh plan period (2007-12) 20 SC/ST students each year will get a monthly stipend of Rs.500.00 only on the basis of merit and attendance in classes. Eligible students must submit caste certificate and also family income certificate.

Students Health Home
|Students health home has arranged a regional center in the college premises with all helps from the college. Any student of the college may avail free medial counseling, health check-up facility and medicines from the center.|

|The college has one unit for remedial coaching for the college SC/ST students. Classes are held according to the need of the students. Also the students may avail library, digital access of E-journal, Study Materials, and photocopy and computer facilities there.|
|Annual Functions like Bhasadibas, Sharad Utsab, Basonto Utsab, Departmental Reunion etc. are organized on a regular basis. Annual social function is celebrated usually during the winter season each year.|

Entry in Job Training Centre
|This unit of the college helps the students of the college and also neighboring locality to train them for different jobs. Eminent counselor both from the college and outside are invited for the training. Here also student may avail library, computer etc. facilities.|

Classes are held there beyond college hours and on holidays. The college has its own computer room with about 30 computers. |The college has a long cultural heritage from its very foundation day. In 1992 the college cultural team was invited to organize cultural functions at the All India Integration Camp held in Chennai. Besides regular functions, all the Hons. teaching departments organize annual departmental reunions including past and present students. In these functions, all the interested students may exhibit his/her cultural skills.|
|Many of our former students well established in their social lives. They are engaged in different occupations such as practicing law, teaching, research activity, service sector, Bank Service, Journalism, Business, etc. They have established an Alumni Association to help the college in need.|
